“I’m happy with this company for so many reasons. Mainly because I don’t even have to think about it. We have so much to handle at the fire station. We call them when needed and they take care of everything accumulated from our runs and people dropping off their needles and medicine.”

Medical Waste Disposal in Whittier, California
Whittier is known for its historic charm and forward-looking development. Landmarks like the Whittier College campus, Pio Pico State Historic Park, and the revitalized Uptown Whittier District highlight the city’s commitment to preserving its roots while encouraging innovation. This balanced approach extends to its healthcare system, which includes family clinics, dental offices, urgent care centers, specialty practices, and long-term care facilities.
All of these establishments are required to follow strict guidelines for handling medical waste, including the proper storage, labeling, and disposal of sharps, red bag waste, pharmaceutical waste, and biohazards. Failure to comply can lead to environmental hazards and regulatory penalties. To avoid these risks, Whittier providers turn to trusted waste disposal experts like MedWaste Management.

Complying with California’s Medical Waste Laws
California healthcare providers are subject to the Medical Waste Management Act, a comprehensive set of rules that govern the generation, storage, transport, and disposal of regulated medical waste. Understanding and following these guidelines is not just good practice—it’s a legal obligation.
From correctly labeling red bag waste to ensuring traceability through proper manifest systems, every step matters. The California Department of Public Health provides helpful resources to guide waste generators through the compliance process, but many providers find it invaluable to have a trusted partner like MedWaste Management to walk them through the details.
We go beyond simply picking up your waste—we ensure your facility stays compliant, protected, and audit-ready at all times.

What’s the difference between a contract and a service agreement?
While your price for service is guaranteed for 12 months, you are never locked into a contract. Our service agreement is a document that details the services that MedWaste will provide along with the price that you can expect to pay.
It is not a locked contract, and you may cancel or change services at anytime without fees, penalties or damages. See a sample of the MedWaste service agreement that is currently in use here.
When do you bill for the service and how can invoices be paid?
MedWaste will send an invoice at month’s end for all services performed and products delivered during that month.
The invoice is due 15 days after its receipt. You will be asked if you’d like to receive your invoices through email or regular mail. All invoices can be paid with credit card or check.
